Ildi and Gabor: wedding at Zala
Engagement at Fellini
The engagement photo set of Zsuzsa and Robert was done at a unique location in Budapest: at the so called Romai Beach, a lovely, green embankment of the river Danube, in the North of the Hungarian capital. This place is full of open air pubs and takeaway restaurants, attracting loads of young people with good food, music and the nearness of the river. For the photo shoot, we chose the Fellini Culture Bistro as the setting. This is an old red service bus turned into an open air cantine, surrounded by beach beds, resembling a vintage restaurant by the sea-side. And on top of it all: they sell the best sausages in the city! :) Despite this perfect location, we had difficulties during the shoot due to the unusually bad weather. Basically, it was raining all through, and sometimes we had to stop shooting due to sudden thunderstorms and monsoon-like downpours. That explains why the beach is empty, while normally, there would be dozens of other people in the background in each picture.
Kata and Attila’s pleasant picnic engagement
On this hot May Saturday we planned for a picnic engagement in a popular Budapest park. We found a nice place for camping under the platan trees, and we started to shoot in an excellent, jolly mood. Kata and Attila enjoyed themselves so much that they showed their dance skills too. The afternoon sun cast beautiful soft lights over the grass. However, all of a sudden, it started to rain cats and dogs, and we had to finish the photo session immediately. Spring weather, just like love, can be capricious at times.
Agi & Gabor village engagement session
On this sunny day of May we had a really nice trip to Etyek, 20 kilometers West of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Nowadays Etyek is famous for the “Korda” film studios used by Hollywood producers, but it is also a popular destination among wine lovers, with its romantic village atmosphere and well known wineries. Inspired by the location, Gergo prepared a custom designed wine label for the photo session. All in all, I found that this pretty couple, the pleasant countryside, the sparkling spring weather and the good wines resulted in an absolutely ideal mix for lovely engagement pictures.
